The 6th Food Awards Wales 2023 ceremony, held on Monday 26th June at The Mercure Cardiff Holland House Hotel, recognised and rewarded the talent and hard work of the Welsh food industry, highlighting the best restaurants, takeaways, pubs, cafes, and producers.
The winners were selected based on the votes of the public, who nominated their favourite establishments across various categories, including Restaurant of the Year, Gastro Pub of the Year, Chef of the Year and Best Street Food amongst others.
The Awards aim to recognise excellence across various categories, to showcase the best food establishment that Wales has to offer and also promote the country’s industry, celebrating its diversity and quality.
Steak & Stamp, achieved a significant accomplishment by becoming one of the finalists in both the “Traditional Welsh Restaurant of the Year” and “Best Restaurant in the South East” categories. This was no small feat considering the high level of competition in the categories, which included many renowned establishments recognised for their exceptional quality. When the announcement came, we were thrilled to hear Steak & Stamp’s name being called out as the winner of the “Traditional Welsh Restaurant of the Year” award.
This award is certainly a testament to the culinary excellence that we strive to achieve. Stacey Roberts, owner and chef at Steak & Stamp said “The team are delighted to be recognised at the Food Awards Wales. Our award is both testament to the dedication and hard work that the team has continued to put in over the past seven years. It also reflects the incredible and ongoing support we receive from our customers; our success simply wouldn’t be possible without them.”
